East Tennessee Wedding Photography by Jyn Allen Photography » East Tennessee Wedding and Portrait Photography

Mindy and Josh were married at the Stinnett Farm in Rogersville, Tennessee. It was a beautiful and unseasonably, hot day in September and it was perfect. Mindy and Josh are the coolest and not just because they let me take tons of awesome photos of them but because they really are. They like to laugh and have fun. Plus, Mindy likes peanut butter as much as I do and that’s an automatic check in the plus column in my book. I’m so excited to finally be able to share more images from their wedding. There were so many favorites it was impossible to narrow it down to just a few.

The very first time I spotted an Ewok in the Star Wars movies, I wanted one. That’s never changed. I still talk about how much I wish they were real so I could have one. Lol. When we had Raven, I knew as soon as he hit the right height (and still young enough that I get to pick out his costume), he was going to be an Ewok. This year was THE year. I’ve never been a fan of store bought costumes. Not that there’s anything wrong with them. They’ve came a looooooooooooong way from the 1980s where you got some weird plastic shirt and a horrid mask. My mom always made our costumes. Always. One year I was a Hershey’s Kiss. Seriously. I wanted to give my mom a break though because her and my dad are always busy building their lemonade/pumpkin/cocoa/whateveryouwantthemtobe stands. We are busy people. Too busy. Way too busy.  I took to the internet to find a costume for Raven. I googled for days and I’m an excellent googler. Nothing. There was nothing but a plain ol’ costume over and over. I couldn’t do it. There was so much potential with an Ewok costume. I called my mom and told her that she needed to make me a costume. We talked and planned forever. When she finally finished, she said that she wouldn’t know how much money it would take to make another one. Haha! It is awesome. Very awesome. Now when you google an Ewok costume for Halloween, this one will pop up. You’re welcome to anyone that decides to make one for their kiddo.

You may remember Mindy from her kick ass engagement session at Biltmore Estate in Asheville. You can view it here. When I told Mindy that I had the perfect spot for a bridal session, she did not hesitate to say okay and go with it. I was so excited and look forward to this session for ages it seems. Mindy’s dress was gorgeous. An all lace number that she found at Annie’s Room in Kingsport, Tennessee. I had a bouquet in mind for her session but she said her friend was going to make her one. Holy cow! I did not expect her friend to be an amazing florist. I loved her bouquet and it seemed to add just the right amount of a color pop for our river session. I’m so excited that I can finally share her images. I can’t wait to share her wedding.

I’ve been excited for Allison and Brett’s wedding since they rocked their engagement session at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport. You can see it here. It was a beautiful September day on the Nolichucky river in Morristown, Tennessee (or maybe it’s Russellville). It was a tad hot for September but that didn’t stop this group from having an amazing time at Nolichucky Vineyard. I swooned over Allison’s dress as soon as I saw it. I’m a sucker for lace. It’s my favorite! Their ceremony was sweet. Allison looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle. I love how Allison and Brett look at each other. You can just tell that they have the best time. The reception was fun especially when Brett and his mother surprised everyone with a dance number through the decades ending with a conga line. Here are some of the images of their day. Enjoy. xx
